Ok, those are my stats… Let me tell a little story explaining who I am…
My mom was a special education teacher and I worked as a teacher’s assistant at Dean Triggs School for the Handicapped, where I learned different techniques to aide in the comfort of very severely challenged children. I became a lifeguard at an early age and eventually began teaching the physically and mentally challenged students relaxation and swimming. As an athlete myself, I was very fascinated with the anatomy of many body types, and searching for ways to create optimum function through movement therapies.
I came to Hawaii over 20 years ago and found myself loving body boarding and all of the many physical endeavors. I work with horses and have volunteered with my sister’s work at an Equestrian therapy Ranch in California called Queen of Hearts. As an athlete, I understand the sports minded and incorporate my own experiences with injury and recovery and the search for optimum performance into my practice of massage… What works for me, seems to work for others.
I am very intuitive and use my experience at Aunty Margaret’s to help guide me and bring the wonderful work of Lomi Lomi (which is a praying work) through loving hands to my clients. Every massage is a little different depending upon the needs of the individual.
My current interests include and are not limited to, working with Horses, Yoga, currently studying to become a teacher of the practice. I also am studying Shiatsu, and Jujutsu, a Japanese Martial Art. I am a member of the Hakkoryu Jujutsu Hawaii Shibo Dojo at Sunset Beach, Hawaii. I have traveled extensively and my experiences have brought a more meaningful understanding of the body mind and spirit which carries over to my clients with much success.
